Why use a school radio station?
A school radio station provides students with lots of creative opportunities. For instance, putting together live radio shows encourages teamwork and presents students with a new, exciting challenge. Students can also record radio sessions, to be played back at a later date. These sessions can then be posted online for parents to listen to and enjoy.
Additionally, a school radio station can extend classroom learning. In the past, our clients have pre-recorded study guides on their school radio system. These can be streamed online by pupils at home, adding a variation into normal homework and engaging students further.
What age of students is a radio station aimed at?
Our package is easy to use, even for primary school children. However, our system is designed to be accessible to students and teachers of all ages. If you are a university student who is looking to set up a radio society, then our station equipment could be just what you’re looking for. What’s more, our radio station set up can also be used to create podcasts and the like.
What is included in our school radio package?
Sound Innovations’ school radio package contains everything you need to get up and running. For example, some of its features include:
- 2 Studio condenser microphones,
- 2 Adjustable microphone boom arms,
- A broadcast mixer,
- A broadcast PC including compatible soundcard,
- One control keyboard,
- 2 Studio monitors,
- 4 Headphone sets,
- And radio playout software.
We can train staff to use radio equipment so they can pass this knowledge on to pupils. Or, we can arrange a class training session with you.
